Updated Guidance Regarding COVID-19

Big Sky Players, Volunteers, Parents, and Families,

I want to thank all of you for your support, understanding, and guidance, as we navigate this unique situation.  In line with the most recent CDC recommendations regarding the COVID-19 Pandemic, Big Sky Little League is postponing all baseball and softball activities until no earlier than Monday, April 6th.  This is terribly disappointing to all of us associated with Little League, as we all look forward to getting back on the field after a long winter, but our top priority is the safety and well-being of our players, families, volunteers, and the community as a whole.  We hope that by taking a proactive approach to social distancing, we may be able to get back on the fields later this spring or summer, while also playing a small but important role in slowing the spread of the Coronavirus.  The timeline to start activities could easily be eased or extended, depending on the success we have as a community, in combatting the spread of the virus.  I urge all of you to be patient through this fluid, ever-evolving situation.  After the safety of all of our volunteers and players, our primary goal is to get back to playing ball as soon as possible.

We will continue to work with local authorities, as well as Little League International, as we closely monitor the situation.  For more information regarding the impact of delaying the season and the most up to date information from Little League International, please visit LittleLeague.org/Coronavirus.  You can also reach me directly at [email protected] or by text at 760-641-8705 if you have any questions or concerns.

Thank you again, for all of your support and understanding during this unique and difficult time.

 Respectfully,

Troy Stiles
President, Big Sky Little League
